Hello do these pickups look to far gone to be ok or is this just surface wear and can it be emory boarded off off? Is tis normal or???
There is quite a bit on a couple of the poles and will this affect sound of the pickups etc...??

Thanx so much!!

Those look fine to me, the pole pieces can be removed and cleaned off if you want but I'd just leave them because they'll just rust up again unless you have them re-chromed. It's very normal for them to look like that, they were made 30 years ago!

The rust shouldn't affect tone at all, but you'll want to line the screwdriver slots up the same way, if the slot is parallel to the string it can supposedly sound different than if you have it perpendicular.
