So after creeping around in my search for a bass...

I have finally joined the community! I picked up a new baby today based on suggestions and I am absolutely in love! $199 otd from GC. Not too terrible I think

I played for a few years but my brother (also a bassist) was always the band touring type. I locked myself in my room and learned theory and piano instead. Forgot how exhausting playing a bass is, but I love it!

I picked up an acoustic b20 for... 59.99. Just something to practice on until I get competent enough to play around others haha

I'm starting to think the Squier VM 70's Jazz is the most popular bass around. I went to an open jam a few weeks ago with mine - and another dude had the exact same one Felt like I had showed up wearing the same shirt Great bass for the money. So $199 - it was used then?

Yeah it was used. Perfect as far as I can see. Plays great after minor adjusting since I like my action rather low. I haven't seen anyone around here with it yet. Maybe it's an area thing? I have a friend with a Fender MIM that is in love with mine. Another convert already haha

I have the five string version, great bass. I think the VM jazzes feel better the MIM jazzes.
