So happy with my newest bass!
It's an Ibanez 370F (fretless). Yes, inexpensive. I played around with it a couple of months ago at the box store and was pleasantly surprised. Next time I came in for something, it was there and I looked at it again. And the next time. Finally after about 6 times of playing it and thinking how much I liked it, and how great it sounded for such an inexpensive bass, and how great it felt, and so on, I pulled the trigger and brought it home! Plugged it into my (almost new) Ampeg PF-800 (which I also LURVE), and just MELTED at the tone! I didn't think I would ever find a instrument that I could love as much as my vintage Ibby, but this is it.
Here's a link to a pic
from online, so everyone can see how pretty she is - I will post photos of my actual baby once I get them. Very happy with my purchase, and I even got a discount! :hyper:

Damn, that bass is really nice, congrats! Great score. I am an Ibanez lover myself. I own and use as my go-to an Ibby STK 300 series and it kills. Its an older one from the early 90's and it just sounds so good! I feel the same way about my ATK as you do about your 370. I I got mine used over 10 years ago for about $350. One of the best "all time" investments Ive made in my bass playing career among a few other more recent ones. I really think Ibanez makes some of the best basses for the money out there. Ive even owned at one time and played a lot of their SoundGear line and even those, for base models, rock pretty hard and are full of tones for the $100 or so you pay for them. Again, congrats on your find! Look forward to seeing some pics of yours.

Yes, I really do love Ibanez basses. My other bass is a circa 1989 Ibanez SR 800. It still looks and sounds incredible, and it so much fun to play. I "acquired" it (and started playing bass) when my then boyfriend and I broke up and he stormed out and left it at my house. It likes me better anyway! :)

Looks very nice. Ibanez SR's are great basses. Congrats.

Congrats! I like that the SR370s are soft maple bodies. My SRX400 had a soft maple body and I really liked it. I've been considering an SR375.

I considered the SR375 as well, but decided on the four string. I don't know that I would use that fifth string much - I have only run across a couple of songs where I wish I had it. Besides that, this one was THERE, and I could play it and try it out. THIS is the one I fell in love with - it would be disloyal to get a different one, you know. :)

Congrats on the 370F! :)
I have the SR-375M and I love mine a whole bunch! My other bass is an SR-705 and I love playing them both in equal amounts of time!
Huge Congrats! :bassist:
