A store by me sells them, mostly woods like ebony and mahogany. They're not cheap - something like $5-6 per pick, compared to a $0.75 plastic pick. The ones I tried were very solid and thick, maybe 3-4 mm. I liked them, very solid in the hand, more thump than twang on the strings. But I couldn't tell you where they are now, and after losing a couple of $5 picks I'm not rushing to the store to buy more...
