Mostly the logo in the pic of the head stock, seems way off and ive seen pretty consistant logo placement on fender stuff. |

As for the logo, I have no idea.

The bridge kind of makes sense, given the dimensions of a BA.

But who cares about the headstock logo when the rest of every single part of this bass has been modified:
The original frets were ground flat to make it fretless.
The body cut for P pickups, and by the looks of oversized plugged holes in the modded pickguard, it probably had at least another type of pickup in there before.
The electronics need no mentioning, pretty obvious.
The badass is fine, yes the corner lays right on the curve.
Yes it's a legit old very-modded Fender Jazz, but this ain't no investment bass. To me the mods are attrocious and too costly for any restoration. |

You will get a different tone when the string touches a block inlay compared to when it is touching the wood part of the fretboard. That is why you typically do not see inlays on fretless basses. |

This would nullify the difference

It looks to me like it had a larger pickup where the P is now, or someone cut it for a inverted P pickup and then realised they'd f***ed up :P |
