Fellow TB'er Blues Bass 2 just sold me his Ibanez SR 1405e Premium (pictured in post #1 on page #1 of this thread. This will be my first Ibanez Bass and my first 5'er as well. I have played other SR series 4 and 5 string basses on occasion and have always found them very comfortable to play. The necks are a great fit for my hand and the string spacing works well for my small'ish hands. I've read so many positive remarks about the Nordy equipped SR Premium models that this seemed to me to be a very low risk 'sight unseen' bass purchase. I'll post a pic of my own when it arrives.

| | | Yeah, that looks...monstrous. But since they seem to be all into this 8 strings guitar madness nowadays, they prolly needed a bass to match that kind of wall of sound...
It's a weird thing, I see Jackson went the same route and launched several 7 strings guitars as well...I must be getting old since I'm not getting it
