I picked up a 2002 SR800 off Craigslist last night for $90.

Sorry, no pics yet. I already have a number.

Cheers,

So tempting

It came with a pretty nice gig bag and a strap too.

Why didn't I think of that? Much more enticing offer.

Cool

I'd like a number please.

Fellow TB'er Blues Bass 2 just sold me his Ibanez SR 1405e Premium (pictured in post #1 on page #1 of this thread. This will be my first Ibanez Bass and my first 5'er as well. I have played other SR series 4 and 5 string basses on occasion and have always found them very comfortable to play. The necks are a great fit for my hand and the string spacing works well for my small'ish hands. I've read so many positive remarks about the Nordy equipped SR Premium models that this seemed to me to be a very low risk 'sight unseen' bass purchase. I'll post a pic of my own when it arrives.

I'm gonna kill the guy in charge of this page: http://www.ibanez.co.jp/eu/news/show...013/index.html

No SRs....although on the website instead of the Premium 1400 model there's a1600/5 with poplar burl top (and it's freakin' gorgeous: http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/eb_...&series_id=112) and a cool looking SR300B: http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/eb_...&series_id=112 (but of course, no 305 with that awesome colour, grrrrr).

They've managed to piss me off again - tons of new guitards, and almost nothing new added to their flagship line...the BTBs look nice though

Yeah, that looks...monstrous. But since they seem to be all into this 8 strings guitar madness nowadays, they prolly needed a bass to match that kind of wall of sound...

It's a weird thing, I see Jackson went the same route and launched several 7 strings guitars as well...I must be getting old since I'm not getting it

Hoping to get an ibby fretless for my birthday, I leapt for joy when I saw it on the new site!!! Awesome!

If it's on the UK page, it will soon be available through the official dealers. If not...bummer.
