The SR405 is a thumpy little "B", She is not nearly as sophisticated as her rich, uppity cousin that lives in the 'burbs. She loves Stevie Wonder!, (the SR 405 that is), It really helps to have the low "B". In all honesty though, I've only been playing bass for about 4 months, I'm a guitar convert who realized that I "feel" music in a different way than most guitar players and I often find myself plucking basslines on my lester.
Interesting Thanks for the info

In most of the PF video demos (if not in all) that I've seen so far on the Internet the reviewer(s) decided to use a Fender type bass - that's why I was curious to see/hear how that amp works with an Ibby

Yeah, I've noticed that as well. Maybe they just dont own an Ibanez bass?

But again, I havent been playing bass long, So anything new sounds good to me, lol. I can forsee my gear changing quite a bit when its all said and done. I will get a GK MB200 or GK MB500 head and a GK 210MBE cab along with the PF115 cab and do a side by side comparison.

That would be awesome 'Cause I'm going back and forth between PF and MB and since I can't test them in person before buying it's difficult to decide based only on the videos that I can find over the Internet.

Selling my SoundGear SRX365 (Titanuim Gray)

It's located in Oslo, Norway (omg, like me!) and thought I'd give you guys a heads up, in case anyone is close/rich enough to take it away. I bought it as new and it's still in the same condition. Selling it as I don't like the way it plays/feels. Someone else will though

Asking 3,750NOK

hey there Ibanez/soundgear players. My local CL has a SG405- fiver listed for $375. is this a good deal? assuming everything works and cosmetically ok. I play Jazz and Jazz fretless 4 strings and don't know much about these basses. I'm looking to add a fiver to the arsenal without breaking the bank but I don't need a $400 wall flower either. any of you with "hands on" this axe?
cheers to all.
Not a very good deal IMO. Never played one but it will likely be very similar in feel to other SR*05 models. You can usually find better deals on older models on craigs, talkbass and ebay. If it's in good shape and works 100% I'd say it would probably be worth $250 to $275.

Ebay can be dangerous seas for vintage Ibanez hunting. So be careful.

Hey guys, I really grown found of my 300 DX. I love the P/J set up and while Ive heard some say those pups need replaced they work well for me.

My question is this, from my researching the only P/J bass Ibanez currently has in production are some in the Gio line? Im not really looking for a new bass right now, but I like to browse around. Any reason's why they stopped putting them in other bass's?

They really love using the soapbars. Not sure why but it may be easier/cheaper for the majority of the basses they make for whatever reason.

You can find some pretty sweet older Ibanez basses with P/J's.

Buddy of mine is planning to sell this one, and I'm trying to help him out by finding out some information. I know it's a 2000 model made in Japan as it's an F0****** serial number, but I'm trying to find out the model.

It has the same pick ups as my 1993 SR800, so... is it? Anyone?

Also, my sr3005 is 99% restored, just need the truss rod cover, I have one coming in next month. I had my 1015 in with my tech last week for a setup, both are playing beautifully. The 3005 really is an amazing bass!

Absolutely gorgeous. I have an SRX that I was thinking about converting to this exact look - gold color with Fender style pickups. Nice!

A current pic of the 3005 would be nice to see...

Go Gold!

In the late 60's, my bedroom was painted with "Federal Gold."

Gold also looks good under stage lights. I've always loved sunburst paint jobs but have to admit that they sometimes don't look that great under colored lights because whatever color is on washes out that color in the bass.
