Good call, plus as you said maybe there will be a deal waiting when you are ready

That's usually the case and we are never ready We just tend to shuffle things around to try and swing it, LOL. When a deal pops up, and they certainly will sometimes, it's a scramble

Coming all the way from the west coast to the east coast, so probably a week and a half from now I'll get it.

Dude, I was totally not ready, and I shouldn't have done it, if it weren't for a recent tax return I most likely would have been able to resist the urge!
Sweet deal for you.

I got home 6 minutes late from taking my dad to the doctor's office and missed the chance to put in my closing bid. Woe is me cause I don't have a smart phone to access the internet. The seller lives 5 minutes from me and I contacted him yesterday to see if he'd be alright with a local pickup to save the $75 shipping... if I were to have won the auction.

Glad it went to a TBer.

Must be Karma. I also bid, but missed out on the black stain NS-4H2 today: (

I guess I'm back to my original plan of going for a Forte-4.

Oof, sorry man, it must be something weird like karma or fate or some BS cause I only saw it on there about an hour or so ago and decided to see if the price would stay within my budget.

Now that is 2 basses I have got on ebay that other members here bid on... I should stop using ebay so I don't steal any more Spectors from y'all!

Sorry

i know but i have a family of 7 to think about. so it's not just about me all the time. we have other things to worry about and me just going out and doing that would make me feel really guilty. so that's why im saving

Whoa!!! Nice snag!!! Congrats!!!

It's all good. A couple weeks ago I unknowingly "won" a Peavey Foundation 2000 out from under another Tber. It's good that identities are masked on eBay so the victor is the person with the right timing... or the one who wants $$$ it the most.

In your case you had great timing and you deserve it

My time will come.

Just won serial 2803 euro model...can anyone enlighten me about that year euro? I'm a Warwick fanboy trying out spectors and really fell in love with the tone of my previous zebras pod euro with tone pump. I heard the older euros had different pres and how do they differ in terms of tone?

This is actually my 20th Anniversary Spector. If you want I can get you some nice shots of the neck. Probably have to be a little later in the week but I can fix you up.

Get the thumb, its got its own unique thing going on tone / sound wise. The corvette doesn't sound anything like it. A NT thumb is Definatly on the bucket list, but when ever I get cash its more spectors lol.

so true. but my issue is affordability. nt thumb is completely out of the question. i dont want to save for 2 years for one. you can find a decent used one for $1k-$1.3k bo. so im on my way. but then again i want another spector why?! why?! lol

Imo dump the emg pre and put a pump or haz in there. The emg sounds good but doesn't give the Spector growl. The older all maple euro's sound good but are more hit or miss than the new "hippy sandwich" euro's tone wise. Even though their all maple, for some reason most I have played are more brittle on the highs and don't have the hi mid bark of the us basses. The new euros are much closer to the us's to my ears.

Having said that , their great basses and the neck profiles are more like the us basses on the ones I have played. New or old , your good either way.
