If this is the non trim tone pump it's way quieter than the others I have played and it's a good sounding bass......hmmmmm
Just rolled through them bones, it ain't like that and nutshell and it sounded RIGHT

Since two of the songs are in drop d flat and the rest are in e flat, I find it easier to use a four. The other thing I find is after years of playing....a lot of my tone is in my hands and some in my amp and some from my bass. I could make a darn jazz bass work for the gig....but why not use a Spector. The Facelift and Dirt albums were probably all Spector....that's why I want a Spector for it.
On another note, I talked with Sam a bit last night and my personal realization is I'm probably gonna get happy with a forte four banger.......I think I need to do it. I just need to shift some gear around and maybe check out yours one day Lee. I think I am an oil finish kind of guy. So.....there might be two Spector rebops up for sale from yours truly........lol.

I'll be calling Bass Central today to pick up the Euro 4LX 435 they have in stock. I wanted the TW they have but it is 9.5#. the PJ is only 8.5# plus it is $300 cheaper. The weight is really the kicker.

Their site is chronically out of date. They still have my Euro 435 listed (serial 10600) and I bought that over 4 months ago. That black stain 435 that says *Call for Special Price* was out of stock back then when I called since that's the one I was interested in, and it's still up there as well. Kind of annoying really. |
