Since theUS 9v circuit is on backorder, was it Patrick that said he felt the Aggie was the closest in tone?

I gave it a good clean, changed the strings to my familiar DR Lo Riders, took some photos, plugged it in and......
Dear God.
You know how sometimes some instruments just "have" it. Well, this certainly does have that and more.
First off, for being almost 30 years old, this bass is in near MINT condition. Absolutely babied and well taken care of.
Then there's the fact that the wood has settled during all that time period which makes is resonate tremendously and last but not least, the USA 9V circuit from back then... Sound simply incredible!
No recording will do this bass justice, it must be listened through an amp and one must experience the thump that it give you.
Absolutely gorgeous bass in both looks and sound!!! Tons of "Mojo"!!!!!!!
This was going to get a black gloss finish, but I think I am keeping it as is...
More photos in the new thread later on. |

More photos in the new thread later on. | Wow seventh! That's a beauty! You're the second person I've heard say that about the older USA 9V circuits. Hmmm So there's a noticeable difference from your newest NS-2 Spalted maple? That's why I'd like a Brooklyn era or Kramer era.
