| | All bass, no talent! Me endorsed? | | Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada | | My main 2 basses are a Spector Forte 5 and a MTD 535.
The Spector has tight spacing and is almost 12 lbs. The MTD is 8 lbs with wide spacing. Both are expensive.
I have previously owned a Lakland 55-02 and a MTD Kingston KZ6.... Il liked the Lakland but the MTD might fit your needs better. Light, wide spacing but the body is average sized. Quote:

A smaller body and light weight are a requirement |

A smaller body and light weight are a requirement because I have the physique of a 3rd grader! Some version of a JJ pickup setup would be nice too.
I previously had a Schecter Diamond P5 and it was just too heavy and bulky plus I wasn't thrilled with the sound. I'm in a mostly country band now and a 5er would be a real advantage. | How bout a Rebop? Brother J has one...... |

While something like that would fit your budget and string spacing requirements, the body is on the large size. Even still, mine is just a tick over 9lbs.

thanks a lot | Had the same problem a while back, it's kind of confusing, but maybe Phat can shed some light on how to get the right one, he just dealt with someone at Hipshot and might know how to go about it.

thanks a lot for the reply, yea its frustrating because now that im lookin at the tuners, even though they are schaller tuners, the hole is at the 6 o'clock position where normal m4's are at the 9, i guess these are the newer ones?? I think i need to return to sender on ebay and get the GB7 detuner .

Did it have the "Spector by Kramer" case? I got one of those cases for my NS-2A 22 years ago and that case has been "TO WAR" and although the case looks like crap, never had anything happen to the bass. | Actually the case looks like a fender style with a sticker of Johnny Cash or something, haha...

So is everyone's glass house shatter proof? Anyone else here ever sell something for profit?
