This is actually going to be really fun, as I have found that the pick is an important part to my tone. |

Like I said I'm excited to try these other picks... I'm an equal opportunity kinda guy, because you never know.
On that note, I think I'm going to go back to my Ernie ball nylon straps.... I like the spector comfort strap but it just feels too bulky and isn't quite long enough. So I have 2 that if anyone is interested I will cut a REALLY good deal. |

I still prefer the orange 1.14mm "Brain" picks, but the Davas are great. I only use a pick for 1-2 songs a gig.
BTW, they aren't $5 each.... Just over $1 each....

I was just using the yellow Dava tonight. I bought the 5 trial pack with the different types. I like the yellow a lot and not a fan of the others. The steel tip is obnoxious. Lol.

Don't forget your buddy in Maryland. mostly a curiosity thing I'm actually pretty happy with my Levis 3" padded leather, but I do like to try "All things Spector" |

I have to say that I really like the yellow Dava picks... They actualy have a brighter pick attack than the max grip (dunlop) That I have been liking. The gravity picks are cool too. I have 1.5 and a 3. The 3 is produces noticably louder sound but a darker, less cutting pick attack. A little more true to finger style. The gravity 1.5 is really nice too. nice and firm, warm round tone with a little bit of aggressive pick attack. They are fairly close to the Gator grip tone. The gravity classic 1.5 are the most comfortable from my session last night. I think I'l just use them all |

If you decided you didn't like natural, it'd be gorgeous in any stain (or solid, obviously). All original hardware except the pickups and it's got a sweet, sweet, sweet quality to the tone that still has Spector all over it, but there's a sweetness there... light in weight, heavy on tone... it's just stellar. Like the best of an NS-4 and NS-2 in one bass, if that makes any sense.
Someone's getting a USA Spector this weekend. And for less than the cost of a new Euro.
Must. Control. SAS. Must. Control. SAS. Must. Control. SAS.
edit: Oh and the neck is killer. I love the thinner D profile necks rather than the thicker profiles of the current USA's like the Forte 4 I had for 5 minutes (Ubnomar will know what I'm talking about) but I've got the big palms short fingers thing, so ball-bat round C profile is difficult for me. This neck is the exact opposite of that and it's WONDERFUL.
