Quick question about the TonePump can it be wired with a blend instead of V/V? I'm eyeing a new acquisition and I hate the V/V setup and seeing as a new 9V is out of the question and the MM114 is no longer made hopefully a simple wiring job is in order.

What do you hate about the V/V if you don't mind me asking? I really like it because I find that I can dial in my pickup volumes to the sweet spot and get that sweet Spector tone with ease using the two vol TP.

One thing I've found with the EMG-HZ is that they really shine when on full.
I'm always all or nothing with them.
I've been debating pulling the Tonepump from my 06 Rebop 5 & dropping in a 3-band with individual pots for Treble/Mid/Bass and then a single Blend pot to choose pickups.

Thanks Ice. It really is an amazing bass. Everyone mentions things like low-end and miss and all that stuff but I am just awful at describing that kind of thing

What I can say is this. The NS-4 seems to not need as much bass compared to the NS-5 and the neck on this thing is amazing. It is super fast and I can just fly around the thing with barely any effort. I had been wanting to add a 4 string to my collection since I really missed having one and was using a non Spector for a bit. It is a great bass but it has a 1.5" nut which I am just not comfortable using so this NS-4 feels so much better in my hands. It's also not as big of a deal switching between the 4 and the 5 now since the NS-4 has a chunky neck compared to the previous bass I was using.

Spector NS-2 Brooklyn is the second one, I would guess.

I use my volume all the time to mute onstage and sometimes for a swell and having 2 volumes is a pain. 99% of the time I have both pickups on and have no need to blend them that's my sweet spot and it's just way easier for me to grab one knob.

Both are great but I like #1 best.# 2 might be recorded to hot. For some reason, it sounds like #2 has a thicker neck. So I'm guessing #1 Kramer, 2 Woodstock.
I wish I could play like you.
