Did it have the "Spector by Kramer" case? I got one of those cases for my NS-2A 22 years ago and that case has been "TO WAR" and although the case looks like crap, never had anything happen to the bass.

Budget is a concern too so far I'm considering a Lakland 55-01 or a DJ5 or maybe an MTD Kingston KZ5 or a Brubaker Brute I just don't have the finances for a $3000 bass. A smaller body and light weight are a requirement because I have the physique of a 3rd grader! Some version of a JJ pickup setup would be nice too.
I previously had a Schecter Diamond P5 and it was just too heavy and bulky plus I wasn't thrilled with the sound. I'm in a mostly country band now and a 5er would be a real advantage.
