It arrived quietly and unexpectedly this evening.

My issue will be a 3-4 day trip away from home without her and the kids.....i'll get the.......why do you get to run away and have fun with out us and have a bunch of fun while we are stuck at home..... speech. LOL

Yikes. I'm going to give my wife a big ole hug and a kiss when I get home. She's never ever given me any grief over equipment. As far as going out and having fun, she goes out with her buddies and has fun. Good lord I'd never "forbid" anything she wants to do. I'm not her father and she's not my mother. And the motorcycle thing: Even after my first wreck that landed me in a 3 day coma she let me decide whether or not to keep riding. So I did. After the second wreck 3 years and 65,000 miles later which separated my shoulder busted a rib and my left wrist that needed surgery she STILL let me make the decision. So I decided to stay in the saddle. I changed my mind though when I saw the look on my kids faces when I was suiting up for the next ride. They looked at me like they were never going to see me again. I just couldn't do that to them. So I sold the mighty GS and haven't ridden since.

+1. I'd love to have a bike but realistically, at least around here, it's just not safe. A helmet is just no match for some nitwit in an SUV fumbling around with his iphone. It bums me out but it's the truth.

New & refreshing, yet strangely familiar....

Congrats Patrick - it turned out just as you described it to me. I hope its everything you hoped for, and may you enjoy it for many years to come.

Nice choice of options, quite unique. The JJ pickups and 1.5 nut is very jazz bass inspired. I'd be interested to hear you thoughts on the sound of the JJ setup.

The color scheme is very "arctic".

So yesterday a guy in sunny California gets an "arctic" bass and a guy in icebox land gets a "Bahama" bass.

She has her money and I have mine so money and gear is never an issue. Was that 5 Spectors and a Monique pre in 4 months?? Now when it comes to the bands and projects she get's a little fussy. I tend to sometimes show more enthusiasm and passion towards the music than balancing it with my family. I can see where she comes from, but I would be miserable without my music. Yes, I ride a motorcycle too since I was old enough to ride.

Had a little time this morning for a quick recording. Using my newly purchased SSD4 platinum drum sounds. I used the Metallica "Black Kit" preset then tweaked it in Cubase a bit. Hope you guys like it! More to come

Used my Spector Ns-2a with Haz on this one in drop A

Realistically, I'm never gonna get a motorcycle. When I was 16 I saw a guy get killed on a motorcycle in a horrific manner. If that guy drove a car that day, it would have been just a fender bender and I wouldn't cringe when I see a guy riding a cycle (especially in traffic). I'm really a wus about that.

Plus the outfit with the chaps, leather straps and stuff remind me of the Village People. I don't like the village people but I don't want run over a guys face either.
