Used my Spector Ns-2a with Haz on this one in drop A https://soundcloud.com/d20/ssd4-platinum-black-kit-test | Sounds great man!! I need to take the time to figure out how to do drum tracks on Studio One. What are you using for the drums?

Plus the outfit with the chaps, leather straps and stuff remind me of the Village People. I don't like the village people but I don't want run over a guys face either. | People die in cars everyday but I did have a bunch of money in gear.
Coming home from my 35 mile commute in the snow. God I miss riding. The worse the weather the better.

Used my Spector Ns-2a with Haz on this one in drop A https://soundcloud.com/d20/ssd4-platinum-black-kit-test | Hey,
Sounds great as always. Question for ya - are these kits pre-EQ'd or do they have presets? I'm used to the Toontrack Superior kits which are all dry samples that need the usual EQ-ing, reverb, etc. There are some presets though. With Toontrack it's either that or do the EZDrummer stuff which is not tweakable inside the plugin.
I'd be interested in getting the SSD 4 stuff if I knew I could "hit the ground running" with it. |

The cool thing is listening to it against many bigger name prog metal record, it sounds as good if not better. Of course it was done by the guy who mixes or masters bands like Opeth, Symphony X, Katatonia, Paradise Lost, Soilwork and more, so I was expecting something good.
Should have artwork and clips to share pretty soon. Full release should be sometime in January. |

Looks like I might pick up that SSD 4 package seems to be pretty laid out.

| | Jumping off the fiscal cliff | | Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Canada | | | So, I had an Aguilar OBP-3 put in my Euro 4LX this week. I like it quite a bit more than the 2 band tone pump that was in there. The ability to cut and boost the 3 bands, as well as providing a somewhat warmer, and definitely more transparent tone, is awesome.
It still sounds like a Spector to me but the harshness and zing of the tonepump is gone. A worthwhile mod for those wanting a change. |

Have not gotten them in yet - ugh. Getting the house ready for an appraisal has taken up a lot of our time. Holiday crap intervening as well. Really hoping to do it this weekend since I am stuck home due to pager duty for work anyway. |

First track you need to play on it is of course Joe Satriani's "Flying in a Blue Dream". Gotta drop it to C though. |
