It has to do with the way the town boundaries are done. It's one of those "someone really had their thinking cap on for this one in the zoning office." situations.
Saugerties, NY, the town, is actually 5 miles away from the Spector Workshop.
The Workshop is less than a mile from downtown Woodstock.
But because of the way the boundary lines for the two places are concerned, the sign for "Welcome to Woodstock is about 200 yards from the Spector Workshop and therefore it falls Officially into the Saugerties side of things.
The odd thing is that it's much closer to Woodstock. And Stuart lives in Woodstock. So it's just an odd-ball thing that has more to do with how the city of Saugerties grabbed up land and made it part of their city limits.

Sam can't answer this. Because I know HE KNOWS what all of these are.
But can anyone name all of these basses, left to right.
And I'll give you some help.
I'm looking for Model, Finish or Wood.
So the first one (L to R) is a Forte-5x - Flame Maple - Transparent Black - Matte Stain.

And fretless tone is different to the other fretless basses I owned before: it's much more punchier and aggressive thanks to USA9volt pre. And they are absolutely the same exept necks! And I thought my SAS was over for a while....but then I saw this Teal Whimbish on ebay... Joking. Jeff will grab it I suppose

We were a little broke, My mom gave me my Christmas present/ inheritance from my dad (He passed in October. it's not a lot, like to pay off a house or car or nothing, but will help with my medical bills and traveling for treatments and she said she and he wanted me to get something special with part of it, besides taking some of the burden of paying for treatments and stuff coming up.
I sold my Kramer NS-2 I had, before I knew Mom was going to give me money, don't want to go back on selling it, and wanted something different, but still a Spector, and then my wife insisted I get myself something nice, so I have a Coda on it's way. Crazy I know, but I can't wait. Should be here Friday, I'll get you some pics when it gets here. Can't wait. I think it will be cool having my NS-2 and a Coda, two really different basses, but both with Stuart's touch on them.
Hope you all have the great Christmas you deserve, you really are the best people in the world.
Best-Chris.

It's currently in the shop while I'm on vaca (I miss it so much ) having an additional button added to the upper horn area.
I think if you're used to the T-Bird style, it'll be no problem ... otherwise it may take a little getting used to. Much lighter neck/headstock than a T-Bird though ... no dive/great balance!
BTW- the neck on my Forte-X is not chunky at all.

And a happy holiday season to you and to all of our Spector brothers and sisters.

Fender's got one for the Strat, Warmoth has one for the Strat & Tele...wouldn't it be wicked if we could have a case of SAS while mocking up our dream bass???"
Then I downed my rum & egg nog & went back for a 3rd glass.
Merry Christmahanakwanzika, everyone!

Does anyone have or know where I can find a wiring diagram for wiring a new TonePump to a new set of EMG 35P & 35J pickups?
My Legend 4 fretless that I got for a good deal will be arriving soon and I will be swapping out the standard Legend electronics for the above.
I've also decided on the color stain that I will refinish it with. I really like the Plum Wimbish color on the EuroLX that Fat240 has and I think the color below will be close with the right mix. I will stain and then do a Tung-Oil finish to seal. I was able to contact Pat Wilkens out here in California and he is going to strip the old paint off the Legend for me for a reasonable price. I will be posting progress pics of the project. TransTint: Cordovan

Thanks man. It's okay about the Kramer, it's going to a great home thanks to Sam (of course) and to be honest with you once my NS-2 got here, I haven't touched the Kramer. I wish I could be a collector, maybe when all this crap is over someday I can, but for now I want a bass or two I can play, and I think having 2 of Stuart's best basses in the house to play and start recording that will play and sound totally different will be exciting. I can't wait to try out Stuart's version of a Jazz bass.
Thanks guys, Have a great holiday, no matter what you celebrate!
