| | | Here's my Euro 4lx (tuned to drop C) in action with a metalcore project that I play with (don't worry if you dont like harsh vocals- there aren't any vocals in this take anyway) https://soundcloud.com/slapadabass69...-could/s-i8bqS
We recorded a live take on my iphone since we had just gotten it sounding tight-ish (still needs some work) and i just re-recorded the bass on my computer with garageband. Pardon the mistakes, i'm still trying to work out some of the fingerings.

Nice thin neck? The neck on my Forte 5 is like a baseball bat compared to my MTD,Modulus and Fenders. | Did you take thickness measurements of your Forte 5 neck and send to JPS? It'd be interesting to compare your Forte 5 to my former Forte 5.

Saugerties, NY, the town, is actually 5 miles away from the Spector Workshop.
The Workshop is less than a mile from downtown Woodstock.
But because of the way the boundary lines for the two places are concerned, the sign for "Welcome to Woodstock is about 200 yards from the Spector Workshop and therefore it falls Officially into the Saugerties side of things.
The odd thing is that it's much closer to Woodstock. And Stuart lives in Woodstock. So it's just an odd-ball thing that has more to do with how the city of Saugerties grabbed up land and made it part of their city limits. | Totally understand the city boundary stuff. Been there, done that.
Thank you Patrick!

I sold my Kramer NS-2 I had, before I knew Mom was going to give me money, don't want to go back on selling it, and wanted something different, but still a Spector, and then my wife insisted I get myself something nice, so I have a Coda on it's way. Crazy I know, but I can't wait. Should be here Friday, I'll get you some pics when it gets here. Can't wait. I think it will be cool having my NS-2 and a Coda, two really different basses, but both with Stuart's touch on them.
Hope you all have the great Christmas you deserve, you really are the best people in the world.
Best-Chris. | That's awesome Chris! So happy for you! I think you'll like the Coda. I'm really enjoying mine! It brings a little different tonal flavor but it still sounds all Spector.

So after a bunch of reading here, I'm still a little confused regarding the difference in tone between the USA9v & USA18v preamps. In short, is the 9 more growly vs the 18 louder & clearer?

It's an amazing bass.
