I've personally changed graphite nuts for brass on a Legend 4, NS-2A, ReBop 5 DLX and noticed a dramatic change in the tone of each one of these basses. The tone became more open, raw, aggressive and added to the sustain, to my ears. Stuart puts the brass nuts on stock USA basses for a reason. You do get a true metal to metal contact with the strings with a brass nut. My 2cents of experience.

Sorry there were some 11XX's that came out of Brooklyn my overlook.

Love the darker green color on your bass - very deep & rich looking.
What year is it, and what is its story?

The first thing I realized is that, unlike my ReBop5, I don't need the -15dB cut on my PF-500...so there's a huge volume difference between the TP & the BT circuits. The second thing I realized is, I like the tone waaay more than my ReBop. I can adjust the tone to suit, without it becoming a chore!
It's a good thing the ReBop is going under the knife next month for pickup upgrades & some fret levelling, cuz I don't know if I want to pick it up anymore. lol
Sidenote: She's holding the case upside down!!!!! Quote:
