The stores around me don't carry Spectors, or won't take them on trades or consignment. I've seen a grand total of 4 in classifieds around me that were worth looking at, and they've all been high.
NS-2000/5 - $600

Spectorcore - $700

Bar Dude: "What kind of bass is that?"
Me: "It's a Spector ReBop"
Bar Dude: "Oh, is that some Chinese thing?"
Me: "No, it's the Czech-made equivalent of a US Spector."
Bar Dude: "Oh, I've never heard of them. Why don't you play a Fender or Gibson?"
Me: *drinks beer while shrugging*

The stores around me don't carry Spectors, or won't take them on trades or consignment. | I lived in Parksville in the early 90s for a year..... Not a great place to find anything but the usual Fenders, Epi, Ibanez and Schecter.
Schecter does RHYME with Spector though!

The Orange Kramer NS-2 has departed
Added is a Special 1987 NS-2 Neck-Thru J/J.
It is my understanding, as per the Kramer books, this bass was originally made for Ian Hill but Ian decided on a Gold Finish J/J model instead.
Photos below show the bass from the Kramer Factory back in 1987.
Also added to the family is a TC Electronics BH-250 Head with the TonePrint feature. (As recommended by the Amp Pimp)
I will be posting some new comparison P/J vs J/J clips soon recorded with the BH-250.
Also added a Spector Logo 12 Fret inlay sticker on the Forte. (Thank you, MrBassie)

I have to order them from the factory, or see if there are any used in the classifieds. Which there never are.

Unless it doesn't come in a 5 string. Then I'm done.
Edit- just saw sam's post. Dang, looks like I gotta sell something. Anyone want a fretless? Lol
Seriously, I would read about this whilst in the middle of a bout of J bass GAS. It's like Stuart and PJ are reading my mind or something...

How was everyone's new year? | Even the most basic Spector I've ever picked up has impressed me more than my MIA Fender P5. A Blue NS-2000/B, for those wondering. Local shop had it on for $200, but I let it slip because it was a 4-string. I should have bought it. :P
