Ok, so you did 2 separate recordings. If you were to do this live, what would you use?

Nope, this was done in one recording. With the Radial splitter you can do it all at once and have 2 channels recorded at the same time.

For live, I feed the house a clean signal and I use a dirty signal on stage with my amp and cab. Then I get the house to mix the two...that is in an ideal situation. In a less than ideal situation I use a dirty channel only.

I'm a little confused then. You have your bass going into the Radial direct, but you also have it going into the M80 before the radial. Does your bass have dual outputs, or is the M80 after the radial??

No no no...Sorry.

My bass is plugged into my pedalboard first which has 2 outs, once clean, and then the other came through the M80 XLR output.

All this pedal talk has me gasing for a Prunes and Custard. I sold mine last year and have one on the way this week. Such a useable pedal. I have missed it.

And have you looked inside of a USA Spector lately? the whole control cavity is lined with copper. Here's my Coda 5XL. Do the Euros not have this?

My ReBop is painted with conductive paints for this reason.

Shielding the cavity won't create more noise. Having poorly insulated electronics will & having anything ground out on that shielding will do the same (or cause it to short out :P)

I think he meant shielding with EMGs. Your Coda is all Aguilar huh?

Euro cavities do not have that copper - yes it's hard to miss it on my NS-5XL.

Euros looks like they may use some sort of dark shielding paint in the cavity.

just thinking here, but if something would short out on copper, wouldn't it also short out on conductive paint? it is conductive after all.

That's why I said Shielding the cavity. I didn't specify with that.

Putting out a f/s feeler here - I'm thinking of parting with a few basses to help fund more Spector goodness, and was hoping to get input from you guys as to where I should price them... Thanks!

Late model EBMM Stingray, factory red sparkle w/rw board & hipshot D-tuner.

1st year Fender Geddy Lee Jazz w/Hipshot D-tuner.

Spector CRFM, plum w/EMG pre & new Euro bridge.

Fender Kingman ABG w/hardside bag.

All instruments in near-new condition, a few minor bumps & bruises on the CRFM...

Out of all the acoustic basses I've played.. That fender is the only one that resonates enough to be heard with acoustic guitars
