On a side note, don't you hate when you have been with a band for a while, took the time to get the right gear and sound, then a couple guys up and quit? Didn't even get a chance to break out the Brooklyn this weekend. So much time spent in writing and all gone. Oh well, glad that I have side projects with other people.

I also really like the GK app a lot. It sounds great, does everything I need.
What apps are you guys using with your irig/apogee jam? | I take my Audiobox USB and Macbook everywhere. I have really started to like using StudioOne 2.

I'd give a kidney to own that bass!
I would also love one with a lava-esque colour to it.

Always good to have options when it comes to bass colors. I've had a couple of good projects end right when they were picking up as well, mostly involving members going off to college. I had a really good indie/alternative thing going with some friends from school, but our main singer/song writer had to leave. We're trying to pick it up again next time he's home on break though. We're trying to pick it up again next time he's home on break though. | A little over a year ago I was convienced to leave a popular local band that I had been with for 5 years, to play with some guys that were great musicians and work on all original material. It was great all these years playing covers and I realized that I really didn't know how to play the bass, only other peoples stuff. So it has given me a new outlook on playing the bass and I am glad that I took on the project. It led me to my Spectors in the search to find "my tone" instead of copying someon else. Developing that and improving my playing has lead to me being asked to be part of other projects, also a good thing. Just sucks that you complete 12 songs and are ready to hit the studio and then it ends. Being part of this Club and watching guys like Omer take his ideas and make something out of them on his own, John De practicing to improve as much as possible, even though he has a super hectic schedule, Steve taking care of Donny and even helping me and Jamie out a couple times, Ho flying out to see Donny's release party, and seeing the passion that Chris had even though he was sick and the treatments had taken his strength, has been a great insperation to me to keep thumping away at it.

I couldn't have said any of it better myself. I love how this isn't just a club on a forum, but it really is a community, and just seeing how many great folks were drawn here by their common link of music and their favorite brand of instrument is inspiring. Honestly, this club is what really won me over- my first Spector was (and still is) amazing, but the sense of community on here is what I've really come to enjoy.
It's been cool following Omer and Donny's projects from when they were just getting started to where they are now, and getting all sorts of insight and info from JPS and Phat, seeing Lima and Steve doing whatever they can to help out their fellow club members, and seeing everyone come together to support Chris in his fight.
Ill have been a club member for 2 years in July. And it's been a pretty cool 2 years all things considered.

but any-who, I know I'm a bit late, but since we started sharing the spector club love aorund lately, I figured I'd finally post the family pic.
Left to right: legend classic 5, euro 4lx, legend classic 6 bubinga. The Euro's rockin' the LOE wristband, and the legend has the holiday card Chris's family sent. I figured The'd fit quite well with the pic.

| | Love one woman; many basses | | Join Date: May 2010 Location: Long Beach, CA | | | Had a nice chat with Patrick today at the Spector booth at the NAMM show. He was very interested in showing me his cell pictures of his personal collection. At about that time Rex Brown came by with a gorgeous white NS2 that he said he wanted to take home which Patrick was more than happy to oblige as long as he signed a bass for another customer.
All in all, it was real cool day!

Have to pack up my Spectors today ready for the move. Decided to leave a Warwick out so I have something to play. Just want the Spectors safe and sound :-)
I've been real lucky with my band, the care about the bass sound and want it in the mix, I have short solos parts too! suuuuuper happy about that hehe.
Does anyone know if I can order a Euro with an ebony fretboard?
:-)

What apps are you guys using with your irig/apogee jam? | I use the IKMultimedia Sample tank and a lot of other APPS they have, with Alesis ioDock with my iPad. I love their APPS, easy to use, sound great and always staying on top of any glitches and updates.

So what do ya say that we start a list of people that would buy one and ill get it to PJ Rubal if there's enough interest.
1.) NS body style or Coda?
2.) 4 or 5 string?
3.) Traditional P split coil?
I think that's about all the details?
Your participation will be much appreciated!
Thank you!

Oh well, another 12 months or so & I'll be able to order an NS-2. Still love the UV finish, but I'm considering the ultra amber & green stain as well...
