I doubt it would be fret wear. Do the frets look worn?

does the neck look straight?

Have you made truss rod adjustments?

I got a pic with Stuart, Jimmy and my bass!

I asked jimmy about the finish since he did it.. It's actually an old black finish that is blue based.. He took the picture I sent and applied to match.

As always it was a great time at NAMM

Stuart looks like he wants to kick the camera guy's ass!

and that is the sexiest trans black finish I've ever seen. keep putting pictures of that bass up.

Sweet pics man. Did Alex have any comments on your bass since it has such a killer finish?

For anyone interested, I happened to wander into the GC in Raritan, NJ, yesterday and saw (& played) this Euro. The date stamp on the photo is the 27th, so they must've just gotten it in.

Other than a little ding below the bridge - looks more like a clearcoat bubble that popped - it seems to be in excellent condition.

As a big fan of Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), I've been GAS'in for the right Spector with P/J config to come along. If it had black hardware instead of gold, I may have walked out with it. (My preference would be a bolt-on P/J, which IIRC Spector will now start offering along with the neck-through!)

hard to make out in the photo but looks like a Euro or NSCR4FM bridge. those have a lot of fans in this thread because of the solid maple wings.

Gauge:: 3025 - Long+ Light: .045 .065 .075 .095 First time I've tried their lights. I'm going to stay with the light set, they're perfect. I used to use Mediums but I find they have too much tension for my liking.

That's just absolutely awesome sj! I have a soft spot for the Legend models since that was my entry Spector. There's a lot of high quality of materials and craftsmanship put into them. Where else are you getting a highly figured maple top, 3 piece rock maple neck, Pau Ferro FB and EMG electronics for such a lower price!?!? You have a bass to be proud of for sure! I challenge you to replace the string nut with a brass nut. You won't believe your ears with the change! Also change the TP Jr. With the Trim TP or Aguilar OBP-2/3. I might buy a Legend 5 custom sometime down the road... Congrats and welcome to our family!

IMHO...if you went with all gold hardware i.e. control knobs, bridge and tuners...it would look really great. That's a NICE looking natural! Gorgeous maple quilting!
