A big thanks to you guys for all chiming in on the case thing, although it seems like everyone uses something a little different. I ended up ordering a Gator that looked nice and sturdy without being too overly expensive.

Still recovering from the 5 days of mayhem that is the NAMM Show... but I'm in.

@ awilkie84 regarding the Pelican foam...
I think if you cut a groove to fit your strap and another to fit cables etc. by where the neck sits, the foam will remain very much structural. It's pretty dense foam and the whole concept of these cases is that you should cut-to-fit the foam for sensitive instruments.
I've had my camera gear in 3 big Pelican cases for years bashing them around everywhere and my gear is 100% protected. :bassist:

Awesome collection of 5's! I think I remember you saying that you play the Webster the most out of those basses but I could be wrong? They all look awesome!

I've been looking into the custom rebop 5 a bit more and it's coming down to that or a nice brand new Euro 5LX in a nice red stain with black hardware on eBay. They'll be about the same price, and the red looks KILLER, I just don't know if I'll be GAS free until I get my Green Spector 5. A nice white Spector 5 would be sweet too.

Oh man I need to win the lottery.

Thanks! The Webster definitely gets the most work in Divinity Compromised, but I have actually been playing the 6LX a lot at home when I'm working on bass parts for other material. I tend to "save" using the NS-5XL until I'm ready to track keeper parts since I tend to kill strings pretty quickly. So I usually pick one bass to screw around on for a while.

I need to go for a green one myself. Probably will be a fretless with ebony and possibly black hardware.

I've worked in the airline industry for 10.5 years and the Pelicans seem to be the hardiest of them all. Instrument cases and heavy tool box cases.

j.kernodle - you said in the last thread the the bass moves around in the Spector case. Do you maybe have an old one? I've had 3 Spectors with Spector cases and they all were molded to fit the bass and no movement.

Anyways, in with a live shot
