Got it new from Bass Central last year, never gigged or even rehearsed - just home use. Nut is cut for BEAD tuning.
Better pics will be posted when I actually do the listing.

I will always keep my first SR5 even though I am fully entrenched with Spectors now. |

So the question is: does anybody know a string set that actually works with the bass? I live in argentina so we dont get that many brands nor i can afford buying them abroad.
Thanks in advance =)
M. | Not sure what available in Argentina but you need either Tapered strings or do what a lot of guys do here which is to use a pair of pliers to crimp the string so it fits in the bridge

I've got a question regarding using thicker gauge strings on my Forte-4x. I'm particularly interested in beefing up the G if nothing else, but preferably all of them. Thicker just feels better under my fingers. Is the brass nut able to accommodate them without any filing? It doesn't look like there's any room to spare around there. The bridge saddles aren't an issue, correct??
Thanks for any info | I've used thicker strings on my Forte 4&5...no problems with nut or bridge.

In other news, I did my fist jam session with my Spector Performer. Was nice!
I was using my tiny Ampeg practice amp, with the controls in the mid range, and I was already sounding better than the other guy playing Ibanez's through his Hartke.
Everyone was impressed by my playing, and randoms said I sounded really good.
Was a good night tonight, and I've come away learning a lot more about the capabilties of my Spector.
Starting to get serious G.A.S for some of the nicer Spectors now. | Awesome and congrats!

Great overall sound as always man - extremely tight and punchy and the guitars, bass and drums seem very well balanced.
Sounds like this one was finger-picked, yes? I think if there's anyway to just squeeze a little high-end growl to the bass without compromising the overall mix, that would be good. But the "meat" of the bass is there and easily audible IMO.
I may have to hire you to mix my solo material. |
