SD - Thanks for the kind words, I've seen pics of your Blue Spector and still drool over it as well. Hope the weather in your neck of the woods isn't too cold. WR - I'm sure you're right about the trim tonepump being much more usable than the nontrim one, but I just fell in love with the Aggie OBP-3 in my NS-2J and thought a 2 band OBP-2 would be the perfect match for the PJ layout in my Euro (I really don't use the mid sweep much on the OBP-3). The 9 volt USA preamp may be out of the picture if Spector has decided to not sell them anymore - I hope that isn't the case.
My assumption on the trimpump vs the nontrim pump was that the trim version sounded like the non trim but with the gain adjustment gave you better control over the volume - is that a fair assumption or are the differences more dramatic?

When did that happen? If that's voiced anything like a 2 band Stingray I'm gonna have to quietly order one of these delivered to neighbors house - the wife will kill me if I buy another bass right now, we set a one in - one out policy a year ago and I've bought 5 basses since then and only thinned the herd by one.

I actually notice that the trim is more for gain control than volume. The non trim is a BEAST lol. I notice the trim TP to sound a bit more articulate than the non-trim.

I am SOOOOOOO close to acquiring a Bahama Blue NS-4 with BEM fretboard.
That blue and birds-eye maple combo are absolutely amazing.

Where's the Spector crew?
I e-mailed PJ over a week ago - no reply. The voicemail at the office still has the NAMM message on it. No sign of Patrick on here, either.
They were supposed to be back on 1/29.
Why is my SAS peaking right after the NAMM show?!

Yeah PJ and Patrick are both laid up with the flu. Get well soon fella's. The flu this year is a bad mamba jamba.

Oh and Dave, congrats on the MMbop! That color combo is one of my all time faves.

I came back from NAMM sickER.. I guess lack of sleep and alcohol didn't help. My voice has been gone from Monday til now.

I know PJ was sipping cough syrup at the show.

Yeah, Just read Patricks Facebook. He had to be taken to the ER by ambulance. He's home now and seems to be on top of it. Sucks to be sick.

Ugh - what a bummer for those guys. I feel particularly bad for Patrick. His body has been giving him fits lately.
It doesn't surprise me that folks got sick at NAMM; lots of flu germs on fretboards...

PJ just made it back into the office for a few hours on Friday. I spoke with him on Thursday and he still sounded terrible. And he said that was him sounding better.

Both came down with the flu right after NAMM. Hopefully they will make a speedy recovery.

Met up with Thundar today for some Chinese food. He bought my LDS 2x15 cab as well. We of course talked basses and Spectors which brought up Geddy Lee having a Spector. I did a google search and found this:

He bought 2 Spectors recently, both black. One is definitely a Euro LX, and the other is (I'm not 100% on this) a USA bolt-on (not the Coda) with the 2 Jazz pups.

He seems to be mixing up gear in the last few years. I'd be sweet to see him out with Spectors
