Remember how the adults of the 50's knew for certain that the college students of the 60's were out of their mind? And when disco came in in the 70's well THAT WAS IT. Doom was eminent. And on and on and on.

It's later ages (closer to graduation & college) where this is untaught & they begin the failing methods of regurgitated conformity.
Damn, I sound like some conspiracy nut. :S
Anyways, back to your regularly scheduled SASing!

I'd be on hoarders too but Spector prices make that somewhat self-limiting. My collection of vintage Pumas? Not so much. My hoovering-up tendencies definitely increase as the price point comes down.

On the Euro vs. US, I love my Euro's the Matte is awesome and the Plum is so easy to play. I am partial to the older Kramer-era's and Brooklyn's. They all have good necks and the older circuits are my preference. I have played a few US basses and didn't care for the necks even though they sounded great, I am happier with two older US models for the price of one. I played a Coda not to long ago because I am looking for a jazz and I thought the neck was huge. The new builds are beautiful though, I'm just a cheapie.

I prefer the newer super jazz slim taper profiles that exist on other jazz type basses. Having said that though....the tops on the deluxe a sure are pretty

Nothing worse than spending hard earned cash on a bass that either has a neck that's too small or too big and not playing it because of that.

I am wondering if that might have anything to do with some not liking the necks since they probably wouldn't be like the typical necks we are used to.
For me, the thicker and bigger the neck, the better
My shipping notice says my Divinity Compromised CD will be here tomorrow so I can't wait I will also have some pics later of something else new as well, LOL. Just another little thing I am about to leave to pickup.

My Rebop5 has a nice profile for a 5er compared to the Coda I played. Do the Rebops have rods?

Your Rebop was made around the same time mine was if I am not mistaken and that has a great feeling neck. Very similar to my NS-JH5 as well so if you didn't like the feel of the Coda neck, I am not sure if I will. I would love to try one but nobody has them in stock near me.
