Question for you guys. I really want a US9V for my Euro 435LX. However, I have not heard anything as far as them being available again, so that got me thinking about the 18v. I love it with my NS4. Correct me if I"m wrong. If I put the US18V on my Euro 435LX, it would use 3 of the 4 holes (vol, bal, stacked t/b) and the 4th hole I'd have to fill with a dummy knob, kill switch, coffee dispenser, or bottle rocket launcher. My question is are they on a circuit board and line up with the holes? I just want to make sure I wouldn't have additional routing or anything.

That one knob is free floating though so it can be moved a bit though.
You might need to widen the holes on the bass to accommodate the pots so just keep that in mind that it is a possibility. A reamer will take care of that quickly and easily though. I have had to do that on a few of my basses and have not had an issue at all.

I have had to do that on a few of my basses and have not had an issue at all. | My Rebop was a tight fit on one of the holes but I pushed it though from the outside first and it solved the issue. I also had the issue with the stacked pot knobs sitting off the body a bit. I used some rubber spacers under it, did anyone else have that issue? I think that the 18v will sound great and give you what you want. Quote:

The volume pots are still on the way, but i had an idea. I always have both pups wide open when I play with Defy Tolerance. so I wired it up and bypassed the volume pots. I have only played it through my practice amp, but it sounds great! and directly compared with my Black CRFM (both currently tuned standard) it is actually a little more "open" but VERY close. Live I doubt most could tell the difference between the 3. I'm going to use the Euro for Practice tomorrow and if it slays, I might bypass the vol pots in my trans black CRFM too and use these 2 (gold bridge basses) for a while with DT and let Jade be the studio queen for a bit. |

I also thought of just upgrading the current BT circuit to 18 volts. I think the increased headroom would be a big benefit with the DC's. I kind if wondered how the circuits would fit. I figured I'd add a kill switch if I add the 18 volt US circuit. |

| | | | I wonder what a double Musicman pickup Spector would sound like.
The Rebop MM is pretty cool, if only I could afford a custom USA version.
