Hope you don't mind if I jump in!
Personally I'd go with TC over Boss any day. I never liked Boss pedals because they are not true bypass and they are easily overloaded by a high output bass signal. TC pedals handle up to line level with ease! The only thing I don't like about TC pedals is the little foot button. It's very short and can be difficult to press.
I also had an MXR Bass Octave, but it was so noisy I yanked it in favor of the Aguilar. It sounded good though, maybe I just had a faulty one. |

I have the new one and i haven't had any issues yet. Awesome board! |

Awesome board! | Thanks! The MXR I had was the latest version. Engaging the effect also engaged a 'swirling' noise that I did not care for. Sounded good otherwise, but the Octamizer is sweet as well. |

Omer, how does that Forte neck feel compared to you Kramer era NS2? | Thanks man, I'm really interested to see how the neck is going to be. My Warwick I used to have only took me a week or two to get adjusted from the skinny necks of the jazz basses. Especially at the heel.

Found an old CD of guitar and drum tracks from a band I used to play in. Plugged up my Mesa 400+ into my Aguilar GS412, then cranked it up with an SM57 up close. Into my Presonus Eureka with EQ and Compression bypassed, then into my Fastrack Pro, then protools. Obviously, I mixed the bass a little high for y'alls listening pleasure.
Pick, Brooklyn NS2, Cranked up tube amp, big cab. Can't think of much better than that.
