The fretboard needs some serious cleaning, but I've done that before. My main concern is getting the strings straight at the headstock and replacing the upside-down tuner with one that at least faces the right way (I'll probably never see another black and chrome schaller tuner in my lifetime!) and I can only imagine if those strings aren't disgusting...
Definitely got my work cut out for me with this one, but it will be worth it! | Nice, I saw that on the bay. Really cool bass, as the ceramic in the pickups ages they sound better and better.

Congrats to all! I'm jealous
I got word today from Mr. Pat Wilkens that he finished stripping the finish off my Legend fretless body and will ship it back to me tomorrow. I should have it by Wed or Thur. I'm looking forward to start staining/finish and putting it all back together with some new parts and additions. I will post a couple of pics of the stripped body when I get it.

I have emailed spector with the serial number, the person i bought it from was not a bass player, and had no idea what he had. But the price i paid, if it is a legend, then i stole this thing. |

Although, whoever did the Warwick thing to the tuners should be smacked.

How is the B string clarity on the NS5 compared to the NS5XL? I currently own a Euro5 and want a 5er but not identical pickup setup like my Euro. I play in a large band and the B has to be clear.

It's definitely not what you expect when I say that either, and it is quite a bit rough (the stringing's a bit funnny as one of the tuners is an upside-down replacement) but I think it is still a piece of history, and I FINALLY got a white Spector!
Welllll...sorta white.
I bought an NS-X.
Picture from the ebay ad.
Now I have to wait the painful wait! As it is on the opposite end of the country, I'll be lucky if I receive it this time next week! | Congrats! You don't see "Spectorbergers" come up for sale very often. We expect a full report when she arrives.
