Took my legend to a local luthier/tech recommended to my a fellow tber. Neck is in good shape, but one of my volume pots is bad. He had an extra set of emg hz pick ups so the plan now is to order a emg pre amp and replace the pick ups. I cannot wait for this to be completed. Also plan on getting painted. Pearl white is the plan but i am open to suggestions.

Can't go wrong with white. Where's the luthier located?

JPSBassist...Thank You for your message. It's cool getting to know you from this club and PJ from his assistance with my NS2a. I hope I didn't open any old wounds as I thought something got stolen from the NAMM show at first....but....it's very cool knowing that I now have a connection and someone to ask questions before I make a purchase...or...I hope I can ask you questions? I've never seen white Legend. That will be cool. Although I do really like the stock finishes

It wasnt stock. The original owner painted it black and did a crappy job with the finish.

LOL! No hard feelings. The 'blemish' I thought I saw on yours, a few inches below the bridge, was probably just some glare from the flash. (and not a tiny chip in the clearcoat like what was on the red one I missed out on)

More within my current budget, I spent some time today with a Legend 4. It had a scratch along the back of the neck that my thumb kept finding

, so I plan to go back and see if they have another one in stock. I've "narrowed" my search down to about 5, and what I like about the Spector is that it would be different than any of the other 3 basses I own.

I just got it a couple weeks ago. It's meant for studio use here. So far I like what it's adding - nice fundamentals. At the moment I'm experimenting with a mix of it and the RBI together. Sounding pretty good. I always say this, but one of these days I will post clips. Seems like something comes up every night. Live web chat for the album Monday, running around last night on errands, band interview today...time flies.

I received my Legend fretless body back today from Wilkens Guitars and Pat did a great job at getting the red paint off. The tops on these Legends are paper thin. I need to add a little black stain to a few areas before doing the color stain. Going to start staining this weekend. We are suppose to have 80 degree weather here in Southern California this weekend so it will be perfect weather to go out on the patio and get stain all over myself.

I also had my friend make me a Maple truss cover that I will stain the same color as the body. I'm really looking forward to this project and hopefully it will keep me busy while I wait for my Euro to arrive next month.

More Spectors and more members are rolling in! That's just awesome!!!!!!!

I've been busy....very busy! Seems like the wind is changing directions for me and carrying me into new musical endeavours which I am very excited about.
I will divulge this information later this week I hope...if all goes well

That trussrod cover is going to be the perfect touch. Can't wait to see the finished project!!

Well, after exploding on the GC shipping guy and one of the guitar sales guys...I asked for their store manager to call me. After a couple of hours the store manager called me and made it right. He is giving me a bass case for free! And shipping the bass in it immediately. I'm cool with that. Looking at the tracking, it should be here Friday.

This store is in Mishawaka, Indiana. Only 4-5 hours away!

Yet it takes days to get it here. Crazy I say!
