spector american bolt on

I have a Spector American bolt on NS-JH-5 with an ash body. Many NS-JH-5's I see on the net are maple bodies or ash with a top option. The number on the back of the headstock is #058 that's hand written and a build date of 11/20/00. My bass doesn't have a top option, it's a maple neck, Pau Ferro fingerboard with small marker dots. Is this a rare bass? I don't see any others like it.

Its Defiantly not stock. Pretty sure it's a Custom. But that's what Spector does in their US shop, make Custom Basses. I'm sure you can email them and get more info on the bass.
I bet it's a sweet bass! If you don't mind, can you post a few pics?

Yeah I've never seen a US without crowns. A lot of them now are mahogany with a top. Every Spector is custom made though so their all special

Post a pic on over in the Spector club thread and get ya a #. Awesome people and great info there on all things spector.

The new ones may have crown inlays, but the US bolt-ons initially had dots when Spector first started making them, and came with either ash or flame maple bodies as an option. So, it's different from the models they're making now, but it's likely not custom.

My NS-JH5 has no inlays. What body wood is yours made of?

My 03 US NS-JH5 is solid maple. The Pao Ferro fretboard has side markers only.

Nope, it has a Tonepump 2 band. Although they don't get a lot of love here on TB, I like it and appreciate the sounds I can get out of it. I can tame the aggressiveness by varying playing position and attack.

mine is the aguilar. all of my basses have either the obp 1 or 3. I dont know too much about the tone pump but Im sure it fits the bass well.

That makes sense. Mine did the same thing. I sent it back to Spector and the fixed it up for me.
