Spector legend 5/ltd f5e- HELP

Hi fellas! I'm reading this forum from a lot of time, but now I have found a reason to register here.
First at all, I am from Bulgaria, so please excuse my English
Now, my question:
It's time for me to start playing a 5 string bass. I collected some money(about 800$) and I'm wondering between 2 basses- the Spector legend 5 and the LTD F-5e. I KNOW that it is better to try them both, BUT in my country there is no big choice(only bc rich, fender and ibanez).
So, the first pretender is the Spector legend 5(second hand): Quilted maple top; 3-piece rock maple bolt-on neck"; 35" scale; 24-fret rosewood fingerboard; Deluxe cast bridge; Black
hardware; USA EMG-SSD pickups
The second pretender is the LTD F-5e (new) Neck-thru-body
Mahogany body; Ebony fingerboard; Extra thin "U" neck contour; 24 XJ frets'Black nickel hardware; ESP SB-5 neck and bridge pickups.

I really like the looking of the ltd, but it's not the most important thing. Is the legendary tone of the spector better, or the cheaper models, like the legend, are not that cool?
I need your help guys, thanks a lot.

Greetings

I gave a Legend classic 4 (Lefty) and can tell you that it's rock solid and has a great feel. It's a bit heavy (like most Spectors) but well worth it for the tone. Is reasonably transparent in that it drives every amp differently allowing for the character of a good amplifier to be articulated as well as that of the instrument..

Pre-amp and pickups are in the "Very good" category - but if you want to get the best out of it, invest a few hundred US $ into a set of Bartolini's with the pre-wired Preamp HR-4.5/918 and your bass will sound incredible.
