| | | | I'm thinking of picking up a CV jazz. I've noticed they're $350 at the online retailers. Is this a good price or is there usually some room to talk them down a few dollars if you buy in person locally? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Nice refin!

| | Registered User | | | | | questions for 50s cv pbass owners: do you feel the need to replace the stock single coil? is this bass the answer for those who can't afford the Sting model?
how does the 50s cv pbass compare to other inexpensive pbass copies, namely the turser 401? I have a 401 & it's goodness but not greatness. I had to drop in a Duncan scpb2 & replaced a brass bridge but still not in love. |

I leave the PU where it is

I leave the PU where it is | 'tis a bit twangy with the stock pickup, until the strings mellow, or you put flats on. I dropped in a Quarter Pounder, and the sound instantly harkened back to my late 80's "modded P" sound.
It's neither sonicly nor ergonomically my cup of tea, the gigs that I got it for have faded into memory, and the Police tribute act that I was putting together died before being born. I suppose that I will sell my mint-condition CV50'sP soon enough. Offers via PM are welcome.
