Squier Or Epiphone?

I want to get a nice slap tone like in this funky song:

But don't know what bass is better for slap?
My first choice was the Tobias Standard IV bass:

But then I people say the Squier Affinity Jazz bass is better:

Or even A Squier Precision Bass

I'm just stuck!
I have an Acoustic B15 amp but just don't know what to do!

My slap technique is really terrible but the first bass that made me sound moderately decent at it was a fretted Fenix (basically a Korean Squier) Jazz. While you're on Youtube, check out the reviews by 11coopbass:

He has fantastic ability (the most important thing) and tries out a lot of affordable stuff from Rondo and others. Mostly Jazzes, but a MM and Precision copy feature, amongst others. A lot of them are pawn shop finds for not much money. See what tone you like and start trying those basses out.

I can't emphasize enough that working on technique is worth more than choosing a particular brand or design. This video of his is one of my favourites:

I own both a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz....and the Newer Epiphone Tobias Toby...and I have to tell you right out of the gate the Squier is a much better built instrument...

I don't do a lot of slapping so YMMV..
