Attn: Squire Experts... PJ with MIM part # ?
I have a Squier PJ Special (three, actually) and the latest one I acquired locally has an MN part number, indicating Mexico.
I know that there was a switchover from Japan to Korea to Indonesia, but does anyone know how or why some Squier's were made in Mexico in 89/90, when this part # dates to?
Was this essentially an MIM Fender with Squier markings, prior to setting up shop overseas?
Added pics for clarification...
