By my research that 'CY' should be a Reliant, not a 'Start Playing' Cort version and there aren't going to be any bolt on PGs made for it. The 'CO' 'CI' 'CL' series can be either Start Playing OR non-packaged, stand alone versions.

However, BOTH the Cort and the Reliant Affinity versions list that the PG part numbers are: 005-4934-000.

One thing to be conscious of is that even if the screw holes line up (they likely won't) the routed trench between the jack and the VOL knob is likely pretty wide and no PGs that I've found will cover it.

This is a 'CD08' version:::

I replaced an Affinity p-bass pickguard with one from warmoth. it fit perfectly except for 1 screw, which i filled and redrilled. However, mine is the 13-hole design. Fit neck, pups, and cavities with no problems. The "anaconda" pattern looks rich on a black body.

I doubt this counts as "perfect fit", but I'll throw it in here anyway:
I took my Bronco Bass, added the MusicMaster bridge:
http://basspartsresource.com/images/...5-1803-000.jpg
This required filling a couple screw holes(on the bridge side of the bridge, if that makes sense), redrilling new ones, and drilling new through-body holes.
I used these deep ferrules:
http://basspartsresource.com/images/large/BSF-L-C.jpg
I also installed Ping P2681 tuners(clover, closed back). This required filling the original screw holes, and drilling new ones, but the peg hole was fine.
With all of that in place, the ETB92s short scale strings fit just fine.

So, not "perfect", but can be made to work w/o too much hassle.

Here's a source for very inexpensive pickguards. The one for my CV Jazz fit like a glove so I would think that since the CV line guitars and basses are all made if fit drop in MIA parts any of their pickguards would work on a CV.

Shipping was roughly $6.00. About 10 days time from order to received and packing is first rate.

Anyone know who sells a replacement pickguard to fit an Affinity Jazz 5 string? Looking for aged pearl in particular. Thanks!

Just picked up a VM Jag (black, passive, blocks). It is a pretty badass little axe! I am looking to see which ultralite D tuner would work - 3/8 or 1/2. Anyone?

The TB is short for Telecaster Bass - a genuine 70's Telecaster neck should fit it as a direct bolt-on. If I still had one to test it I'd bolt it up and try it, though I like the Squier neck way better.

Odd question and likely not really Squier related, but I had to replace the neck on my fretless jazz because it warped like a pretzel. I got an SX freless neck here int he classifieds, and put the neck on the bass. I haven't used the bass i n a few months, and whenI went to look at it the other day i noticed the screws that had held the original neck on had NOT held the SX neck on, and hte screws had pulled almost all of the way out.

So... is there a standard screw size i can get at Lowe's, or do I need to get screws from Stewmac or SX or something? I'd rather not buy a box of 100 or pay 3 bucks each if possible. And I really don't want to replace the bass either since the SX neck was fine, other than its inability to stay put

That NJ smog must be horrible - not like I remember it anyway.

The screws are available at MOST guitar stores - the Fender ones under the name of Gear Head.

You should be able to get a four pack for less than a couple of bucks that way.

But I really wonder what happened with a screw backing out like that!

My guess was that either the wood in the SX neck just gave way a bit due to the Squier screws being a hait too thin for the holes, or.....yeah I can't think of anything else LOL

And I need to reread my posts when I am at work and without the benefit of spell check!

Thanks Joe, I will stop at GC or Smash on the way home and grab a pack of screws.

Can't say about THAT part - but the GF bridges fit nicely and are a lot cheaper at the same time.

I''m looking for the threaded saddles so I can better align the strings with the pickup poles (strictly for aesthetic purposes. I know it doesn't affect tone) on my VM J. BY GF do you mean Guitar Fetish? If so, they don't have what I'm looking for.

Semour Duncan vintage PJ pups dropped right in my VM Jag project body. As did the Mighty Mite Jazz neck. The MM neck also fit the vm 70's neck pocket. I would prefer if it was a little more snug, but definitely workable.

I see da light now!

But I do believe that the threaded saddles can be bought separately and I THINK they are available, packaged from GearHead, eg: Fender OER parts.

Not being anywhere near a GC or Sam Ash here in Big Sky Country, I can't actually check that out for ya though.

Yeah, I know I can get the saddles seperately, but I am concerned they might not fit the Squier bridge ( I don't wanna have to drill out the holes on the bridge) , and I just figure getting the whole bidge if it drops in might be the safest and simplest (and cheapest) thing to do. I'm just trying to figure which is my best bet, but I would like to think that the saddles would fit my Squier bridge. That would be my preferred thing to do. If it's gonna be much hassle either way, I might not bother at all. It's not really a vital mod, I can live without it.
