I hope to join this club within the next few months. I've been eying the VM Fretless Jazz. There's one for sale locally for $160. I want to sell my six-string before I buy it, so hopefully someone's interested soon.

I almost went with one of these but went with the J instead. That being said, I will certainly have one at some point in the future, they're sweet basses!

And here's my new one. Not quite as stunning, but a tad lighter and actually sounds better:

I added regular jazz knobs and am going to add a chrome pickup cover...not to mention a set of DR Sunbeams or Fatbeams...haven't decided yet. Such clean, round tone from this beast.

Nice! Did you spray over the neck with some glossy and add the "inlay" stickers? Never saw that model. Looks great.

This is the VM-Jazz stocker, but I have the black inserts, and they're NOT stickers:::

This is that same model, all dressed up:::

Thanks! I had one of our local luthiers here in the Philippines change the inlays and binding. This was originally black. And no, they are not stickers. They are pearl white block inlays with a natural finish.

I switched parts aound quite a bit, but the natural body of the first pic and the neck of the second pic is all from my old Squier Jazz Vintage Modified.

Saw a nice VM jazz like that recently in the used section at GC South Bay, not sure if still there.
