the foam foil under the bridge needs to be removed two seconds after you buy the bass. It is only there to protect the top from scratches.

They are very low quality. I got one on Ebay for $50 new. It was worth $50.

yep 50 bucks IF that. Here's my 60dollar Starfire ( after I replaced EVERYTHING on it tuners/pots/pickups/bridge from spare parts it now actually plays fine ) I bought it off of silverspringmusic on ebay. Nothing wrong with the seller as the price dictated the quality.

Rondo ocassionaly offers a fretless version of this bass http://www.rondomusic.com/wvebblk.html . It is said to be the same as the Epiphone Viola, which costs about twice as much.
