Hi, i'm new here, i wanna start playing a bass. A friend of mine can give me a used Yamaha rbx 350, is it good to start? I don't wanna spend much money for starting, otherwise I was thinking about a Squier Affinity Precision.
Any pieces of advise?? thanks in advance

Yamaha makes great instruments. I would take the rbx350 from your friend and bring it to a luthier and have it set up and you'll have a bass you'll enjoy for years to come.

Yamaha RBX-350 ... personally I prefer having a Bridge PU.

Both are great for the $$ ... the Yammy is a better quality bass (for the most part), as well as being a bit more tonally versatile.
