Steampunk Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm personally a huge fan of steampunk artwork, and I have seen a few g**tars that are designed using that art style, and I was wondering if any talkbassers have a bass designed that way. I'm personally hoping on working on several steampunk guitar ideas, so I just wanted to see what other people have!

I bet these guys are right up your street then.

http://www.abneypark.com

Their bassist plays a steampunk style Gibson T-Bass.

The aesthetic isn't really my sort of thing but I think everyone can admire the sheer hard work that's gone into these things.

The first SteamPunk thing I ever saw was a computer keyboard made to look similar to an old typwriter. Very cool!.

WOW!! that's wicked!! And of course the bass needs to sound good before it looks good, but aesthetics never hurt anyone

Those are awesome, vaguely remind me of some Zemaitis guitars I've seen.

Those early, more or less experimental Alembics have a bit of a "steampunk"
aura about them, with all the brass appointments and the ornate styling.
