Steinberger XM-2

Here's my circa 1990 Steinberger XM-2. I haven't played it in years, but I recently pulled it out of the closet (it was still in tune!) It sounds much warmer than you would expect. The only problem is the weight of the maple body. Play a few sets with this one and your shoulder feels it!

Anybody else have an XM-2?

One of my best friends has a white one. Sounds great recorded.

I had two - a white XM2 and a black XM2A

The white one was lighter.

This "Steinbergers are cold" thing does my head in. Its just not true - more like its "common knowledge"

Had a red "mkII" (contoured body, no binding) until I sold it last year. Still have my L2.
