Sterling Ray34 available in White with natural headstock in Japan

I happened to run across numerous Japanese sellers with this color. Apparently it is only available there. I really like how it looks with the natural headstock. I wonder if there will be similar versions available in the U.S. in the near future.

That's no fair. The only finish I like that they have now is the HoneyBurst, but if they sold white ones here (USA), I'd totally buy one.

IMO the natural headstock looks cheap compared to the matching ones.

Oh now see....Im a fan of matching headstocks, so if it had a white headstock I would have been on-board...very nice....even better if it had a maple fretboard too! Oh well, if I want all that I just need to get a EBMM.

nothing 10 minutes and a spray can can't fix. I can see where someone wouldn't like the logo being gone, but I'd rather have a matching headstock than a logo any day.

just wait a second right there!

When i bought mine i originally wanted the silverburst but when i saw it in the store it didn't look as awesome as the pictured above

so i went for the honeyburst

(all this IMO , my advice is just to take a look in person)

also +1 to the guy that said that the white should be matching headstock , also needs more maple fretboard...

I kinda like the rosewood fretboard against the white body, but I'm a sucker for rosewood.

I prefer maple but that is why they make both.

Same scenario with me. The Silverburst I saw in the GC mailer got me into the store, but it didn't look as sharp as I expected in person. Whereas the Honeyburst DID look more impressive in person, so that's the one I took home with me.

But I've always wanted a white bass...

I'd love one! i think they made that color combination because of anime/manga BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. its this anime about a band and their bass player is like the japanese flea. so i guess its a marketing thing 'cause they're releasing some live movie of the show.

Sorry man but it was IMO
If you still want to punch someone in the face go ahead
they are really nice instruments and getting a "special edition" would be a +

if you want it go for it!

It's more expensive than the other models.

It's close to $1100 USD.

The person who oversees the Sterling by Musiman line responded over at the Ernie Ball forum that this was a special request from the Japanese distributor but that it would hit Guitar Center stores by the end of the year. So just wait and it can be had for the normal $600-$650.
