Post Sterling (w/ piezo) owners, I need your help.

So just to start off my question is: What are the controls?

I've been told a bunch of different things, that its: vol/bass/mids/treb/blend, vol/treb/mids/bass/pie-vol, and like hundreds of combos of those listed above

Honestly I can't figure it out. The knob closest to the volume gets louder as it goes to the notch and once it passes the notch it gets quieter, no boosting of any frequencies. The middle knob increases the humming caused from my poor grounding and stuff, as well is it being more aggressive, so that leads me to believe its mids. The knob closest to the piezo's knob just increases presents of the bass in the mix (finally figured out how to work the drum machine on my pandora), and makes it a little annoying lol, so it makes me think its treb. I cannot figure out the piezo knob to save my live lol.

Anyways, I don't think the bass knob should boost or cut volume any should it? It doesn't on other active basses I play. It also doesn't appear to be boosting any frequencies. I put in a fresh battery yesterday, so thats not it.

Thanks guys

Vol./Pan./Treble/Mid./Bass...according to the MM schematics.

With any active EQ, which your Sterling has, if you boost or cut a frequency it will affect the overall volume.
