I love a good stickers on a bass, do you have one....?

You can see from my photo I have a 'Lightweight' sticker, this is not a reference to the weight but a reference to partying!

It used to be covered in stickers, the bleeding bullet holes, a Coop pin-up girl, spiderwebs...all the cheese I could squeeze onto it. Now its just the one.

Haha, I only wish I knew the history of this thing and I wish all the wear was from my playing. I got it off of craigslist a few weeks ago in rough condition with a case. I cleaned it up (not an easy feat), re-installed the neck pickup, and took off most of the stickers (just not my gig).

It looks like it was played pretty consistently at one point, and then abused. Not entirely sure, but I think it started out either black or natural, got an orange rattlecan job, and then was combo brush painted and rattlecanned black (once again?). Fret wear is minimal and after a little setup is now going to be my main stage bass for a while!

Lol looks the business tho,do you have any reset pics? I wish my Fender would adopt a distressed look, I've dropped it couple of times (drunk) which has given it a few a scraps and chips but nothing I would write home about about!! It has crossed my mind to sand-down the beast but I think the look should come natural....

Distressed look to me is all about the natural wear that comes from normal use - belt rash, finish wear on the top where you rest your right forearm, darkened neck from play, and the occasional accidental ding or dent, among other things. Sanding it down is cheating unless you plan to refinish .

Recent pics of the Rat Bass (let's just say it's still rat but I ran a comb through it - and the way that sticker ripped off looks pretty cool, so I just left it):

It wouldn't be an Ozzy bass without a bully in the picture.
