Stick Bass Techniques

Sign in to disble this ad
As a teacher of the Chapman Stick for 35 years, I am posting some Bass oriented tapping lessons from the Stick. I would like to know if there is interest in these played and taught in 4ths instead of the Stick 5ths. I am working on transferring many new Stick techniques to standard 4ths Bass. I will most likely focus on at least 5 strings.

You should be able to get some good ideas even from the 5ths tuning. It is not difficult to translate to 4ths. You can play a pedal tone (quarter notes) with the right hand on your highest string for timing and effect.

Yes, yes, ten times yes (and thanks!). Good tapping video lessons would be extremely helpful to a lot of people, me included.
