Been a loooonnnngg time since I posted...a couple of "bassic" changes on the instruments. Here's one of two basses I recently completed for a music festival display at the "Smoky Hill River Festival" in Salina KS....I was a "demonstrating artist" for the festival...gave five lectures/seminars over three days, showing how I designed and build my instruments. Anyway, this one shows a glossy, midnite violet finish, padouk FB, TP and peghead overlay, and the new pearl monogram button on the peghead. Oh...and black nylon tapewound strings...the work GREAT.....I have this one set up "low" for fretless style playing....raise the action and you'd get more of that "string bass" vibe.
