Do current SR 5s have the mahogany tone block and compensated nut mentioned in the Ed Friedland review of the 20th Anniversary SR5? Do they make a model that has it currently? Any experience with this bass? How does it compare to current SR 5?

The compensated nut is installed on all Musicmans since 2005 and newer (except for the new Classic series).

But the tone block was only on the 20th anniversay SR5. The 'normal' SR5's are just solid ash bodies.

The Big Al 5 is now coming with a mahogany body too.
