Stingray neck on a MIM P Bass?
Has it ever been done? I'm thinking about doing it. |

|  | Registered User | | Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Central Illinois, USA | | | Because the StingRay has an extra fret, where the neck sits on the body is different enough that you'd have to do some surgery to get the neck to sit correctly for the bridge to allow correct intonation. Seems like an expensive proposition to me.

I sold the neck on my franken P bass. To REALLY make something odd, I was considering ordering a fretless Stringray neck from Moses. |
