Stingray vs Sterling Ray 34 vs Sub Ray 4
 

Between the Sterling Ray 34 and the Sub Ray 4. Which has the pickup in the roper position, or did the Stingray sweet spot change about a 1/2 inch.

If you examine pics of each one the pup is in a different position. Either with a pickguard that almost meets the bridge, and one with about 1/2 " gap.

Did or does the Musicman Stingrays have 2 different positions for the pup, or is one of the cheaper brands wrong? If so which one?

Kills me how they dont bother setting up or maintain the $1000+ basses.
